Delicious and Messy Bacon Corn snack

  • Corn on the cob (as many as you like)
  • +/- 5 rashers of Streaky bacon per cob
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper

For those of you that struggle with the whole reading thing:

  1. Boil enough water to submerge all the corn in a pot
  2. Place the corn in the pot and sprinkle with a good amount of salt. Pour the boiling water into the pot and place on a high heat for 5 minutes
  3. Melt the butter and crush the garlic. Mix the two together quite well as soon as the butter is completely melted
  4. Lay out about 5 rashers of bacon (the fattier the better) next to each other so that they overlap a bit
  5. Cover the bacon with the garlic butter by using a brush of some kind
  6. Sprinkle the garlic butter bacon with the dried thyme and black pepper
  7. Lay a single corn at one end of the bacon and carefully roll to the other end while taking the bacon with it to form a bacon blanket around the corn (mmmmm bacon)
  8. Place the bacon wrapped corn in a pan on a high heat. Sear all the sides carefully to ensure the bacon sticks together
  9. Once the bacon is cooked to your preference (the crispier the better), it is time to plate up

Good luck eating these bacon wrapped corn cobs without making a complete mess. Don’t worry, the mess is completely worth it.
