To all foodie aficionados, here is some Royal Foodie News.

Royal Food

25 chefs and Royal Chef Mark Flanagan helped to prepare the menu at the Royal Wedding reception. The stress must have been high as he stated that this occasion wasn’t a time for experimenting, and that he would serve only tried and tested classic dishes. Here is a list of some of the canapés that they served.

Their £50,000 royal wedding cake was designed by Claire Ptak, and thank goodness it wasn’t the boring and old traditional tiered fruitcake. Instead, it was a refreshing three piece layered lemon and elderflower sponge cake, but was it worth £50,000? We have our doubts. They served the cake on edible rose petals and what looks like solid gold goblets, talk about getting the royal treatment.

SA Chef Vusi is an S.Pellegrino Young Chef finalist

Chef Vusumuzi Ndlovu, from the Marabi Club in Johannesburg, was announced as the African and Middle-Eastern winner at the San Pellegrino Young Chef awards. It took dedication as he practised his winning dish ‘Isicupho’ for seven days straight. Practice makes perfect they say, and we can’t wait to see him compete at the global finals in June in Milan, Italy.

Jamie can’t catch a break

This has been a tough year for Jamie Oliver but now he is just making everyone angry! He is by trying to ban 2-for-1 pizza specials in Scotland.

Hope he doesn’t come here with that nonsense!
