To all foodie aficionados! We are back and ready for the new Joburg Foodie Scene.

Say What?! A wine farm in Joburg?

We jumped for joy when we saw the news that Gerakaris opened a beautiful family winery in Craighall Park. That’s right, a winery… in… Craighall! No more travelling days on end to get to a winery and enjoy some great wine tasting.

Their tasting room is open on Wednesday – Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm. See you there

Tabasco Champagne

A limited edition of Tabasco’sDiamond Reserve‘ is a hot sauce made with peppers that have been aged for 15 years in oak barrels and blended with sparkling white wine vinegar. This new bottle is to celebrate their 150th anniversary. Time to get some posh hot sauce.

We need this! Where oh where can we buy this in South Africa?

Daniel Galmiche, a four-Michelin-starred French chef is coming to Joburg

Talk about a big week for Jozi! Daniel Galmiche’s Gold Room is opening this September in Milpark.

We are sure to give you a big South African welcome and make you feel right at home.

South Africa’s ‘First Lady’ sold to an investment firm in San Fran

The Warwick Wine Estate has been sold to Eileses Capital. It comes as no shock that wine farmers are significantly impacted by the current water-crises and the ever-increasing costs in Cape Town. Let’s hope they keep the quality because we sure do enjoy a Warwick First Lady every now and then.

Another big move from Cape Town to Joburg

No more buying a plane ticket to eat some cheese! Culture Club Cheese, the canary yellow eatery that was on Bree Street in Cape Town has decided to move their home to The Josephine Mill in Newlands.
