Brown bread might become more expensive

Next year, we might be paying 14% VAT on whole-wheat brown bread as they are scrapping the zero VAT rating on certain bread categories.

Guess we will have to stick to Best of Both from now on. Get the bad news here.

The godfather of modern cooking’s restaurant received shocking hygiene scores

After a visit from Food Standards Agency inspector, Marco’s New York Italian (Bloomsbury branch) received an awful hygiene score of 2/5, see the link.

Interestingly, in 2014 Marco’s Steakhouse Bar and Grill at The Cube received a 0/5 for hygiene. Get more of that here.

Eek! This gives us the creepy-crawlies.

Jackson’s Real Food Market

Get some real good food. Jackson’s opened another store in Kyalami on Thursday the 9th.
